Located in Warren, Ohio, the Lewis Construction office building underwent a transformative renovation aimed at modernizing both its exterior appearance and interior environment. Longtime collaborators, Lewis Construction engaged Phillips Sekanick Architects in 2019 to reimagine their existing office facility. The original diagonal wood façade had deteriorated, prompting a redesign that replaced it with a bold composition of vertical and horizontal metal panels. This new exterior preserved a visual nod to the original design while incorporating contemporary aesthetics. Contrasting finishes on windows, sunscreens, and siding, along with the textured, three-dimensional surface of the panels, provided a dynamic and refreshed architectural presence.
Inside, the renovation embraced the open office layout enhanced by a sophisticated color palette. Earth tones were revitalized with cool grays and vibrant accent hues, creating a warm yet professional atmosphere. The design capitalized on the building’s generous glazing, allowing natural light to flood the space and improve workplace ambiance and productivity. Together, these updates positioned the Lewis Construction headquarters as a forward-looking workplace while reinforcing its long-standing presence in the local business community.
