Kim Phillips, AIA | Architect / President

Kim Phillips, AIA, is President and senior architect of Phillips Sekanick Architects and has helped guide the firm’s growth from a longstanding Northeast Ohio practice into a firm with significant regional and national experience. His architectural work spans commercial, retail, restaurant, hospitality, institutional, and renovation projects, with particular expertise in food-service and prototype restaurant design. Kim played a central role in expanding the firm’s portfolio of quick-service and fast-casual restaurants, establishing relationships that have resulted in hundreds of projects for national and regional operators. His extensive experience in design, project planning, client coordination, and construction provides clients with practical solutions grounded in a thorough understanding of building performance, operations, and long-term value.

With nearly 50 years of experience, Kim applies knowledge gained from his extensive understanding of the design and construction industry and the relationships that he has developed over the many years in practice. With the design of more than 500 quick serve and fast casual restaurants as part of his personal portfolio, Kim has become an industry leader in restaurant design. As a native of Warren, Kim is involved in many community boards and committees.
