Bruce Sekanick, FAIA, NCARB, brings more than four decades of experience in architecture, firm leadership, building codes, project delivery, and professional practice. His work at Phillips Sekanick Architects encompasses commercial, institutional, public, educational, hospitality, workplace, and adaptive-reuse projects throughout Ohio and beyond.  Bruce brings particular expertise in building-code analysis, regulatory coordination, project planning, and construction administration. His leadership extends nationally through the American Institute of Architects, where he has served as AIA Institute Secretary, member of the national Board of Directors and Strategic Council, and in numerous advocacy and professional-practice roles. He was elevated to the AIA College of Fellows in 2017 and received the AIA Ohio Gold Medal in 2018.

Bruce provides our firm and clients an extensive background in business operations, building design, and code compliance. Bruce is a recognized leader in the architectural profession and his knowledge and experience span a wide range of project types. In addition to many other affiliations, Bruce has eighteen years of experience as a master plans examiner and has been part of the design team for some of the area's most recognized projects.
