Blessed Sacrament School Classroom Addition

In 2005, Phillips Sekanick Architects designed a classroom addition for Blessed Sacrament Church and the Catholic school campus at 3000 Reeves Road NE in Warren, Ohio, responding to changing enrollment needs and the consolidation of Catholic education facilities throughout the Warren area. At the time, the former Blessed Sacrament School was operating as the Queen of All Saints campus of Notre Dame School, serving elementary-age students within the Diocese of Youngstown.

The approximately $1 million expansion was developed to provide additional educational space as students were reassigned from other Catholic school facilities. Contemporary reporting identified the Reeves Road campus as one of the primary locations that would accommodate additional fifth- and sixth-grade students, requiring the existing school to expand while maintaining an active educational environment.

Phillips Sekanick Architects worked with Blessed Sacrament Church to integrate new classroom space with the existing school, supporting expanded enrollment while maintaining efficient circulation, functionality, and connections to the established campus. The project demonstrates the firm's experience in educational architecture, Catholic school design, classroom additions, institutional planning, renovation, and the expansion of occupied school facilities.

The lasting value of the project can be seen in the continued educational use of the property. The former Blessed Sacrament and Queen of All Saints campus today serves as the Lower Campus of John F. Kennedy Catholic School, continuing the Catholic educational mission at 3000 Reeves Road.
