Challenge

Built during the Covid pandemic, the River Town Prime Steakhouse & Grill needed to be developed based on  availability of materials and contractors.  Additionally, as part of the Planned Urban Development, the project was restricted to a design that was a throw back to the existing plantation house.

Solution

The building design changed significantly based on the availability of materials and trades.  The planned steel structure was changed to a load bearing cold formed metal framing which could be locally sourced.  Materials that were locally or readily available were substituted for those with long lead times.  The design utilized brick and stone as part of the effort to reflect the character of the plantation house along with deep overhangs and wood supports.
